Galette with Apples and Pears

Simple galette recipe for quick joy-sharing occasions with your family, friends, or beloved ones!

Ingredients

For the Dough:

180g all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
0.5 tsp baking soda
0.5 tsp vinegar (for soda activation)
70ml water
70ml oil

For the Filling:

1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp sugar
10g vanilla sugar
3-4 apples
3 pears
 

Directions

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine water and oil. Bring to a boil.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, baking soda, vinegar (or baking powder), and add the water-oil mixture. Knead the dough, transfer it to a clean bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a plate, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Roll out the dough on a parchment-lined surface. Cut into a circle.

Step 4

In another bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Spread the dry ingredients on the dough, leaving a few centimeters from the edge.

Step 5

Peel and core the apples and pears (or any other fruils you like). Arrange them on the dough with cornstarch and sugar. Fold the edges of the dough to form a galette. Optionally, brush the edges with beaten egg.

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
