Mission Valley Bank opened its doors in Sun Valley, California in July 2001, built on a founding promise to be personal, accessible, and closely connected to the businesses it serves. Twenty-five years later, they still live by that same relationship-first philosophy which is why they chose Creatio's agentic CRM platform as the foundation for unifying sales, service, and marketing—and preparing for the next generation of AI-powered banking.

Dynamic Audience Segmentation

Built reusable, filter-based audience segments that automatically update as new clients meet predefined criteria, replacing a manual process of rebuilding marketing lists for every campaign.

Campaign Analytics & Performance Tracking

Gained real-time visibility into campaign performance by managing execution and analytics in a single platform, eliminating the need to wait for external reporting.

Single Sign-On and User-Controlled Administration

Delivered user-controlled administration and single sign-on, giving the IT team centralized control while supporting enterprise security and data governance.

AI-Driven Service Automation

Expanding Creatio with case management, approval workflow automation, Outlook integration, and AI-assisted customer engagement to streamline service operations and improve team productivity.

Strengthening the Operations Behind a Relationship-Driven Model

As Mission Valley Bank grew, its relationship-first model created an opportunity to evolve the operations supporting it. Technology has always played a key role in how the bank operates, with the goal of giving clients the best tools to run their businesses while freeing the bank's teams to focus on what matters most: the relationship itself.

As part of the CRM evaluation, conversations with each business line highlighted a shared opportunity across departments: to streamline processes, improve visibility, and create a more connected view of information across the bank.

SALES: the focus was on creating a more connected approach to managing opportunities and the pipeline, while supporting greater consistency across the team.
SERVICE: the bank saw an opportunity to strengthen coordination around client needs, follow-up, and ongoing requests.
MARKETING: the goal was to give the team greater ownership of campaign execution and insights, with more capabilities available directly within the bank.

Unlimited Banking CRM Backed by Genuine Care

Mission Valley Bank evaluated several established CRM vendors through a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process before selecting Creatio. What stood out to the bank was the platform itself, but the level of attention it received throughout the process — a reflection of the genuine care Creatio provided. That was very much aligned with a community bank built on 25 years of personal relationships.

The amount of attention we received from Creatio, the alignment of what you have to offer with what we're looking for in a business partner and a technology partner, really met our requirements and our needs. And the partnership we forged with Creatio was the strongest out of all the vendors.

On the IT side, Creatio's no-code foundation made the platform easy to adopt: a single, unified interface brought every module together under one view, and user-controlled administration with single sign-on gave the bank's own IT team direct ownership of back-end configuration. Equally important, built-in data governance capabilities aligned with the bank's security requirements, ensuring innovation could be introduced without compromising oversight or control.

CRM in general is very hard to implement. Creatio coming forward with no-code from the forefront was almost the winner for us... and finally, from a security standpoint, just having the data governance aspect of it was helpful as well.

Agentic Marketing Platform Moves In-House

Mission Valley Bank is modernizing customer operations with Creatio through a phased transformation, beginning with marketing and expanding into customer service and AI-powered workflows.

The first phase focused on bringing marketing entirely in-house, replacing fragmented, vendor-led campaign execution with a centralized platform for campaign creation, audience management, and performance tracking.

Today, teams design, launch, and monitor email campaigns from Creatio's single platform, while dynamic audience segmentation automatically keeps target lists up to date as new customers meet predefined criteria. What was once a repetitive, manual process of rebuilding campaign lists each month now runs automatically, enabling faster execution, real-time visibility into campaign performance, and timelier, data-driven customer communications.

Marketing has gained real momentum for us. Everything—from creating the email to sending it and tracking the results—is now happening directly within Creatio.

Expanding automation with AI-powered case management

With marketing successfully running on Creatio, Mission Valley Bank is expanding automation across customer service and internal operations. The next phase includes centralizing requests submitted through the bank's "Contact Us page", automating overdraft and exception approval workflows, and replacing email-driven processes with structured case management to improve visibility and collaboration across teams.

Looking ahead, the bank plans to extend Creatio's AI capabilities across customer-facing processes by integrating with Outlook, giving relationship managers instant access to customer communication history, AI-powered insights, keyword search, and recommended next best actions. As more processes are moved into Creatio, the bank expects AI and no-code automation to further accelerate workflow delivery, improve user adoption, and help employees deliver faster, more personalized client experiences.

AI will help us understand client history, surface the next best action, and ultimately make it easier for our teams to serve customers.
