Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead Creatio's Platform & Cloud Operations domain - 17 engineers across four teams who own the foundation the entire engineering organization runs on and our customers live on:

  • the CI systems and development environments that set the pace for every product team
  • the automation behind the cloud environment hosting our product servers and customer instances
  • the upgrade pipeline through which every release reaches customers
  • the internal tooling that multiplies the output of all our engineering teams

This is one of the widest spans of ownership in our engineering organization. CI speed is product release speed. The reliability of our cloud is what Creatio looks like to customers every day. The quality of the upgrade pipeline determines how quickly the value of each release reaches the market. Decisions made here scale across the whole company.

Your customers are Creatio's engineering teams and the customers running on our cloud. Success is measured in build reliability and CI lead time, cloud availability and cost, upgrade success rate and time-to-upgrade, and how much faster our engineers ship because of what your teams built.

You will work at the system level: growing Team Leads, holding the architectural integrity of the domain and the quality bar on every release, and deciding where four teams put their focus. Planning, decomposition, and day-to-day delivery stay with the teams - your leverage is in making those teams stronger.

Responsibilities:

Delivery and commitments

  • Own delivery timelines and timeline trade-offs across the domain, and partner with  engineering leadership team on scope and priorities
  • Own ways of working across four teams with genuinely different operating models - two infrastructure teams carrying on-call duty, one release and upgrade team carrying direct customer risk, one internal-product team whose users sit two desks away

Architecture and technical quality

  • Be accountable for the architecture of the domain and for its critical architectural decisions, working alongside Architects who drive the design
  • Own the domain's technical debt strategy - what gets paid down, when, and at what cost to delivery
  • Step personally into complex and critical technical problems

Release and operational quality

  • Be accountable for release quality readiness , you assess it, and you hold the authority to block a release when the quality risk warrants it
  • Own post-release quality analysis, and the operational health of the customer cloud: incident ownership, on-call practice, and the discipline that has to follow an outage

People and organization

  • Line management, performance management, 1-on-1s, development plans, and onboarding for 17 engineers
  • Workload, capacity, and resource allocation within the domain
  • Hiring and exit decisions, compensation recommendations, and building the Team Lead bench
  • Coach Team Leads on leadership and systems thinking in a domain this size, that is the primary lever, not a side responsibility

Requirements:

  • Experience managing software engineering teams, including working through Team Leads
  • Strong engineering background in platform, infrastructure, or cloud operations: CI/CD systems, infrastructure as code, cloud architecture, observability, and release engineering
  • Experience running production infrastructure under availability commitments: incident management, on-call practice, and post-incident follow-through
  • Proven ability to drive delivery, engineering quality, and organizational effectiveness across more than one team
  • Comfort making timeline trade-offs under pressure and defending them with data
  • Experience partnering with Product, Architecture, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and people management skills
  • Ability to make pragmatic decisions and operate effectively in fast-paced environments
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher English level
