Sultan Qaboos University Selects Creatio to Lead National Digital Transformation “Oman Vision 2040”

Creatio, a global vendor of an agentic CRM and workflow platform with no-code and AI at its core, today announced that Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has chosen Creatio to drive its next phase of digital transformation. As the Sultanate’s premier university and a major contributor to Oman Vision 2040, SQU is accelerating the shift to fully digital, user-centric services and deeper integration with national government platforms.

Sultan Qaboos University supports students, faculty, and stakeholders across Oman and is a key driver of educational excellence and research advancement. To elevate its service delivery, SQU is moving away from manual, paper-based processes and adopting a modern digital platform that enables real-time interaction, automated workflows, and a unified experience for its community.

Following an evaluation of nine competing platforms, SQU chose Creatio for its AI-native, no-code foundation and proven ability to drive rapid automation. Initial priorities include modernizing complaint and grievance handling, appeals management, service tracking, and other internal workflows currently managed manually.

By adopting Creatio, the university will gain greater efficiency, transparency, and a seamless, unified service experience for all stakeholders. Implementation is being led by Banza, ensuring technical execution and alignment with SQU’s internal processes.

Creatio aligns perfectly with our transformation vision,” said Jamil Alkathiri, Project Manager at Sultan Qaboos University. “Public-sector institutions today must operate with the same speed and clarity expected from modern digital services, and it is time for government entities to move toward fully integrated digital ecosystems. Creatio gives us the agility to digitize critical workflows, strengthen transparency, and elevate the way we serve students and stakeholders. This initiative is an essential milestone in our ongoing contribution to Oman’s broader digital transformation.

As part of the transformation, SQU plans to leverage AI to reduce human error, improve interaction quality, enhance data analysis, and expand its services, all contributing to faster and more informed decision-making.

AI plays a vital role in strengthening our digital capabilities, from smarter service routing to enhanced institutional knowledge. It will significantly improve efficiency and elevate the experience we provide to students, staff, and stakeholders,” Jamil Alkathiri added.

SQU’s initiative reflects the Sultanate’s strong governmental support for digital transformation, encouraging institutions to adopt advanced technologies and accelerate progress toward a fully integrated national digital ecosystem.
