Overview

  • 1.

    The promoter is: BPMonline, Inc. whose registered office is at 280 Summer Street, Boston MA, 02210, USA (hereinafter - bpm’online).

  • 2.

    The competition: Business Process Championship is skill contest requiring entrants to use bpm’online studio free software to design a business process and submit it for consideration of prizes (hereinafter – the competition).

  • 3.

    The competition is open to adults aged 18 years or over except employees of bpm’online and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organization or judging of the competition.

  • 4.

    There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

Competition entries

  • 5.

    Start date to entry will be June 5th 2019 whereas the closing date for entry will be July 17th 2019. After this closing date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

  • 6.

    Route to entry for the competition and details of how to register are via a web page placed on https://bpmonline.com (hereinafter – the official site).

  • 7.

    A valid competition submission will include an export file (in .bpmn format) from bpm'online studio free software containing visual representation of a designed organizational process as well as a completed submission form (Annex 1) detailing the process, its purpose and usefulness. Name and contact details (email and/or telephone) of each participant should also be indicated.

  • 8.

    In order to be valid, every submission needs to be sent to the designated email address championship@bmnonline.com with the subject line “Submission for Business Process Championship” by midnight on July 17th, 2019.

  • 9.

    No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

  • 10.

    Multiple entries from the same person including those from different email accounts are acceptable, but only one (the first) valid submission will qualify for the participation prize.

  • 11.

    Different variants of the same process (full duplicate or with minor changes) as well as any ordinary process which lacks any criteria out of 5 mentioned in section 14 will be disqualified

Winners and prizes

  • 12.

    The prizes are as follows:

    1. 1st prize – $1,000 travel gift card (1 unit)
    2. 2nd prize – $500 travel gift card (1 unit)
    3. 3rd prize – $250 travel gift card (1 unit)
    4. Participation prize – $20 Amazon gift card (for each valid submission, but capped at 100 submissions in total and awarded only one per person)
  • 13.

    The prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and bpm’online reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

  • 14.

    The top three winners will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by bpm’online based on how well the process they submit meets five different criteria. Every submission will score up to 20 points in each of these five criteria for a maximum total of 100 points:

    • Usefulness: process can be used to solve a real organizational problem and automate a particular tasks/challenge;
    • Relevance: process is relevant to the audience it tries to help and addresses a departmental or industry need;
    • Creativity: process is unique and takes uncommon approach to task management;
    • Simplicity: process is simple to understand and can be implemented quickly without heavy overhead and resources;
    • Correctness: process is created free of errors and can be executed immediately without additional corrections.
  • 15.

    The top three winners will be notified by email and/or telephone within 14 days of the submissions closing date and will be requested to confirm acceptance of the prize as well as date and time of a written interview as per section 18.

  • 16.

    If one or more of the top three winners cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, bpm’online reserves the right to withdraw the prize from a winner and pick a replacement winner.

  • 17.

    bpm’online or its contractor will deliver the top three prizes within 7 days of receiving an acceptance confirmation from the selected top three winners.

  • 18.

    All participants agree that their name and their submitted process may be used in bpm’online’s marketing materials. In addition, the top three winners agree to participate in a written interview related to their competition submission.

  • 19.

    Participation prizes will be sent to the first 100 participants who submitted a valid submission (one including required documentation as per section 7 and submitted within the obligatory time as per section 5) via email within 14 days of announcement of top three winners as per section 14.

  • 20.

    bpm’online is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

Liability

  • 21.

    bpm’online reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of bpm’online’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by bpm’online via the official site.

  • 22.

    bpm’online’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • 23.

    By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  • 24.

    By entering the competition entrants warrant that all information submitted by them is theirs and it does not infringe on any copyrights.

  • 25.

    The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by the law of state of Massachusetts and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Massachusetts

  • 26.

    Any personal data relating to the top three winners or any other entrants will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrants’ prior consent.
